The Chevrolet Blazer EV gained some traction in its debut year, and now it’s back with a handful of pretty major updates. As an all-electric family SUV, the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV manages to undercut its closest competitors while simultaneously offering a full spec sheet designed around the modern driver. Not only that, but the new Blazer EV has a pretty slick design inside and out.

For the 2025 model year, the Chevrolet Blazer EV gets two new trim levels, a bump in performance and range, and a new cosmetic package. While the changes are very much welcome and make the Blazer EV a more enticing SUV, the latest model still has its faults.

Reason to love it #1: Spacious cargo area
The Chevrolet Blazer EV boasts a fairly open interior that comfortably seats up to five passengers. The 121.8-inch wheelbase ensures plenty of space, including in the cargo area. With the rear seats up, the Blazer EV features 25.5 cu ft. of cargo space. Putting down the rear seats increases cargo space to 59.1 cu ft.

Reason to love it #2: Three trims to choose from
Chevrolet made the Blazer EV a model that appeals to consumer needs with three trim levels to choose from. The base LT trim is the most affordable, starting at $44,600 and offering a 283-mile range. The mid RS trim offers more than 330 miles of range, features a more athletic aesthetic, and starts at under $50,000.

For performance enthusiasts, the SS trim starts at under $61,000 and can reach 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. The top-spec model features GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance tech, a 102 kWh battery, and a head-up display.

Electric vehicles benefit from instant torque which means they’re pretty quick to 60 mph, but the Blazer EV’s SS trim takes power to the extreme. According to GM, the SS trim can reach 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds, making it the quickest SS model Chevrolet has ever produced.

The SS model comes equipped with a 102 kWh battery and Wide Open Watts (WOW mode). With WOW mode, the Blazer EV SS boasts 595 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque.
The top-of-the-range SS model starts at just under $61,000, which means you can get more power for your dollar. Even at that kind of pricing, the Chevrolet Blazer EV matches the performance of the Jeep Wagoneer S at a pretty significant discount.

Reason to love it #4: 334-mile range RS model
The base Chevrolet Blazer EV LT features a 283-mile range when equipped with AWD, but it’s the RS model that truly shines. The mid-level trim starts at $49,900 MSRP and features a 334-mile range on RWD models, making it the go-to Blazer EV if you want as much range as you can get. Note that switching to a rear-wheel drivetrain will cost you extra, though.

That 334-mile range puts the RS trim a step ahead of competitors. For example, the Honda Prologue features a maximum range of 296 miles, while the 2025 Kia EV9 tops out with an EPA-estimated 304-mile range.

Reason to love it #5: Price undercuts competitors
The 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV starts at $44,700, undercutting most of its main competitors. The 2024 Honda Prologue starts at $47,400, while the 2025 Kia EV9 comes in at $54,900. The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S is currently among the most expensive models in its class, boasting a hefty price tag of $70,795.

Reason to think twice #1: No Apple CarPlay or Android Auto
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility has become a popular feature among consumers. Unfortunately for the Chevrolet Blazer EV, GM decided to go with built-in Google native software, which includes apps like Google Maps.

Reason to think twice #2: Shares platforms with the Honda Prologue
In an effort to break into the EV scene in a timely manner, Honda partnered with General Motors to create an all-electric model built on one of their platforms. As a result, the Honda Prologue and Chevrolet Blazer EV share the same battery and powertrain.
The two models don’t look anything alike when it comes to styling, but it’s clear the Honda Prologue is the consumer favorite. The 2024 Honda Prologue outsold not only the Chevrolet Blazer EV, but it landed a pretty decisive win.

Whereas the Chevrolet Blazer EV saw 23,115 models find new homes, more than 33,000 examples of the Honda Prologue made it to buyer driveways. That’s a pretty hefty difference, no matter what way you cut it.
Final thoughts
The 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV is far from the worst EV in the industry, but the fact it has a twin wearing the Honda badge, complete with consumer-favorite tech, is definitely a downside. Take a ride in the Honda Prologue before you bring home a Chevrolet Blazer EV.
