2026 GMC Acadia Adds Denali Ultimate Luxury To The Lineup

The First Ever GMC Acadia Denali Ultimate Arrives

GMC’s most luxurious trim, the Denali Ultimate, has made its way to the midsize Acadia SUV for 2026, and like other models that wear the badge, it’s equipped with numerous premium enhancements and subtle exterior improvements.

At the front, the SUV gains the Denali’s Vader Chrome grille and GMC logo, along with unique badges and LED daytime running lights with animation, while 22-inch machined aluminum wheels in an After Midnight Metallic finish (wrapped in all-season tires) inform onlookers that this is the fanciest Acadia yet. But as usual, it’s what’s inside that really sets the Denali apart from other trims in the range.

Thanks to a panoramic sunroof, the Acadia Denali Ultimate will feel more spacious and inviting when stepping in, and it should be relaxing on the highway, too, thanks to Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance tech. This is supported by nine camera views, including a high-definition surround-view monitor, and a configurable eight-inch head-up display. Like other 2026 Acadia trims, the rear camera mirror allows drivers to switch between a traditional rearview mirror and a camera view. Improving the ambiance is a 16-speaker Performance Series audio setup from the experts at Bose, operated through the same 15-inch infotainment display as other trims (alongside an 11-inch driver display).

The highlight of the cabin is the Woodland Mahogany full leather seating, which offers massaging, heating, and ventilation in the front row and boasts plaited contrast stitching. There’s also Paldao wood with laser-etched accents and embossed topographical maps on the seat backs, door trims, and map pockets. Denali Ultimate badges on the seat backs, unique floor mats, and door sill plaques complete the cabin, while the cargo area now benefits from an AutoSense power liftgate.

Powertrain Unchanged, But Pricing Is Still To Be Announced

Motivating the Denali Ultimate is the same 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder found in other Acadia models, delivering 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque through an eight-speed automatic transmission. As such, towing capacity remains at a maximum of 5,000 pounds.

GMC says the 2026 Acadia will reach dealers in the third quarter of the year, with the Denali Ultimate to follow later. Pricing and further information are not yet available for the new range-topper, but the rest of the range has had 2026 pricing uncovered and is expected to start at $43,700 (excluding $1,495 for destination). The previous range-topper, the Acadia Denali, will start at $55,700 for 2026, so we can expect the Denali Ultimate to tack a couple of grand onto that. Looking for similar luxury with a different badge? The Cadillac XT6 starts at $55,395.
