Cadillac Lyriq’s 2026 Update Adds Tech, Raises Prices Slightly

Cadillac’s All-Electric Seller Gets a Price Bump

Cadillac’s electric ambitions got a serious jolt in 2024, with the all-electric Lyriq turning into a breakout star for the brand. Sales surged an astonishing 210%, with Cadillac delivering over 28,000 units of the midsize premium SUV, making it the brand’s second-best-selling model after the Escalade. That kind of momentum has put Cadillac firmly in the conversation among luxury EV contenders.

In 2025, however, the first half of the year exhibited a slowdown in the demand for the Lyriq, with sales dropping 28.8% compared to last year. A fresh model year is just around the corner, and GM is quietly adjusting the Lyriq’s pricing and equipment for 2026. Whether these tweaks will affect the current demand remains to be seen, but we’re seeing an improvement despite the modest price hike.

More Standard Tech Makes the Price Hike Easier to Digest

According to the ordering guide that CarsDirect got its hands on, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq sees a price bump. The base Luxury trim now starts at $59,200 – up $605 from 2025’s $58,595 (excluding destination). The Sport trim mirrors this increase, starting at $59,700. Mid-tier Premium Luxury and Premium Sport trims, however, drop slightly to $63,200 and $63,700, respectively. The top-tier Signature Luxury and Signature Sport variants go up by $805 to $67,800 and $68,300.

That price increase is justified, though. Super Cruise, GM’s hands-free driver assistance system, is now included across all Lyriq trims. In the 2025 lineup, this feature was only standard on mid- and high-tier variants, and upgrading to it effectively added $5,000 or more to the transaction price. Along with Super Cruise, 2026 Lyriqs now come with Hitch Guidance and Hitch View systems at no extra charge, making the price hike easier to digest.

Still Competitive, But No Word on Delivery

With these updates, the 2026 Lyriq continues to offer compelling value in the premium EV space, especially when compared to more expensive rivals like the Porsche Macan Electric ($75,300), Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV ($77,900), or even the Audi Q6 e-tron ($63,800). It’s more expensive than the Lexus RZ ($42,800), but it undercuts models like the Polestar 3 and Acura ZDX while offering a more advanced tech suite.

That said, availability for the 2026 Lyriq remains a question mark. Cadillac’s website still lists only the 2025 model as of this writing, and order timelines for the updated version haven’t been confirmed. Buyers interested in the upgraded tech and revised pricing may need to wait a little longer, or move fast on the remaining 2025 inventory while it lasts.
