Stellantis is preparing to electrify its lineup in 2025, and with the first Jeep and Dodge EVs finally arriving at dealerships, they’re off to a good start. As reported by The Detroit News, the automotive manufacturer is chalking delays in deliveries up to software issues. After largely ignoring the United States market and seeing sales drop in 2024, Stellantis is planning to go all out in the coming year.

Jeep Wagoneer S and Dodge Charger Daytona EVs are finally arriving at dealers
It’s been a hot minute, but the Jeep Wagoneer S and Dodge Charger Daytona EVs are finally arriving at dealer lots. Production originally began last summer, but software issues forced Stellantis to put its plans on hold.
“The last few months, we have been tweaking all of the software to get the best drive experience, the best charge experience, the best customer experience,” Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO, told The Detroit News.

The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S, starting at $70,795 MSRP, comes with a 100-kWh battery and boasts over 300 miles of range. The sole Launch Edition model comes stocked with 600 horsepower and can reach 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds.
Dodge
The 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona EV comes in two trims: R/T and Scat Pack. The R/T trim starts at $59,595 MSRP and features 496 horsepower with a 60-mph time of 4.7 seconds. The Scat Pack model, starting at $73,190 MSRP, offers 670 horsepower and a 60-mph time of just 3.3 seconds.

Stellantis has more EVs incoming
The Jeep Grand Wagoneer S and Dodge Charger Daytona EV are just the beginning. Stellantis plans to bring more EVs to market in the coming year, with the Jeep Recon becoming the brand’s second global EV in mid-2025. A Wrangler-esque EV has also been spotted testing.
Ram
In the meantime, the 2025 Ram 1500 REV is already here. It has a 350-mile range and a best-in-class 14,000-lb maximum towing capacity. Unfortunately, Stellantis recently canceled the Ram 1500 REV, which was slated to pack a larger 229-kWh battery.
The upcoming 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger boasts a driving range of 690 miles. Its powertrain combines a 92-kWh battery with a 130-kW generator. The 3.6-liter V6 engine generates mechanical power, which is then converted into electrical power to extend the truck’s range.
Stellantis executives commit to the US market in 2025
Stellantis brands have seen their US market share drop every year since 2018, but now the automotive umbrella is planning on making the United States a top priority. As reported by Carscoops, Stellantis saw their sales drop 15% in 2023, whereas rivals Ford and General Motors saw their market share increase by 4.2% and 4%, respectively.

With 2024 behind us, Stellantis executives are committing to the US market for the upcoming year. In order to strengthen Stellantis’ position in the United States, experienced leadership and open communication with dealers and suppliers will be key. The heads of Jeep and Ram, in particular, are optimistic about 2025.
“We’ve got very aggressive strategies,” Bob Broderdorf, head of Jeep North America, told CNBC. “If you shopped us six months ago, it’s a very different story right now.”
Dodge
“We had a bad year. There’s no way to sugarcoat it,” said Tim Kuniskis, head of Ram. “I’m very bullish on this year.… The real part is balancing between the volume and the margin.”
Despite moving fewer vehicles last year than in 2023, Stellantis has managed to cut down on its stagnant inventory by more than 100,000 vehicles through significant discounts.
Final thoughts
Stellantis had a rough few years under the leadership of former CEO Carlos Tavares, but whether all the blame should fall on him is up for debate. Stellantis’ sales have taken a significant hit as a result of its Jeep and Ram sales declining. With new EVs finally arriving at dealerships, Stellantis could see an uptick in sales, provided its EVs are competitive and reliable, anyway.
