Everybody is Worried About Chrysler, But Not the Boss
Everybody seems to be concerned about the future of Chrysler. It’s an iconic American automaker, but with only the Pacifica and Voyager still on sale, and with both of those starting to show some signs of aging, there’s constant speculation about whether Chrysler is making the right choices. But according to the Detroit Free Press, brand CEO Chris Feuell is not bothered, and neither is her boss, recently appointed Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa. In fact, she seems altogether upbeat about the future – a future that may include a roadgoing version of the spectacular Halcyon concept.

Chrysler Believes New Cars Will Turn Things Around
“The question about Chrysler’s future and viability is one that seems to come up in various news articles on a weekly basis,” said Feuell. “That has not come up once in my conversations with Antonio or others in the leadership team. I understand the curiosity regarding: Can a company [Stellantis] really sustain 14 brands? It’s a lot of mouths to feed, and that is true, but for Chrysler, there is a belief in our positioning strategy.” She’s aware that there’s been a lack of investment in the brand, which might explain why a new Chrysler crossover is not coming in 2025 as first promised, but when it does arrive in 2027 (with a reveal likely sometime in 2026), it should be better-tailored to the demands of today’s buyers. That brings us to the Halcyon.

Other Cars Will Arrive Before The 300 Is Reimagined
Feuell says that a vehicle “inspired by” the Halcyon is part of Chrysler’s grand plan, but since she didn’t give a date, we ought to take this with a grain of salt. On the other hand, sales of the Kia K4 and other sedans have been making a comeback of late, so we can’t write off the idea that Chrysler will reinvent the 300 for the modern age before the end of the decade, though a new name may come with the new look. Until then, all-electric plans have been scrapped, so Chrysler’s upcoming crossover will have a hybrid powertrain with the ability to go electric. The Pacifica minivan is expected to get a refresh early next year, too, and this staggered approach may just be enough to give Chrysler the gusto to bring its beloved sedan back from the dead. Fingers crossed.
